We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites to operate and secure the Services, remember preferences, analyze performance and, subject to your choices, support personalized advertising. Our cookie banner enables you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Where consent is required, only strictly necessary cookies are active before you make a choice. We do not use cookies for purposes materially different from those described in this Policy and our Cookie Notice without providing any required notice or choice.

Our Services use the following cookies:

    • Strictly necessary cookies,which are required for the operation of the Services. Without them, for example, you would not be able to use your Account. These cookies cannot be turned off.

You may use “Cookie Settings” to change or withdraw your preferences at any time. Depending on your location, we also recognize applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, for sale, sharing or targeted-advertising opt-outs. Disabling non-essential cookies may affect personalization or certain optional features but should not prevent core account and purchasing functions.

For the names of cookies and providers, their purposes and durations, and instructions for managing browser and third-party cookies, please review our Cookie Notice. We update the Cookie Notice to reflect the technologies used in production.

      VI. Cross-Border Data Transfers

We currently host primary Service data on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany. Our global operations may require authorized affiliates, support teams and service providers in other countries, including Mainland China, to access or process personal information.

When we transfer personal information internationally, the destination country's laws may provide a different level of protection. We use safeguards required by applicable law and limit transfers to what is necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. These safeguards may include adequacy decisions, contractual protections, access controls and other technical and organizational measures.

For personal information transferred from the European Economic Area to a country that has not been recognized as providing adequate protection, we use the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where appropriate, conduct a transfer impact assessment and apply supplementary safeguards. For transfers governed by UK data-protection law, we use a valid UK transfer mechanism, such as the UK Addendum or International Data Transfer Agreement, where required.

You may contact privacy@lcsc.com for more information about the applicable transfer mechanism or to request a copy of relevant safeguards, subject to appropriate redactions.

Where required, we review the legal, contractual, technical and organizational safeguards for international transfers and update them when processing or legal requirements change.

     VIII. Protection of Personal Information

  1. Data Security and Technical Measures

We take the security of your personal information very seriously. We use a variety of administrative, technical, organizational, and physical security measures designed to protect personal data, taking into account the nature of personal data, the processing involved, and the risks presented. Our security measures aim to prevent accidental loss, destruction, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access to your personal information.

Please note that the Internet is not an absolutely secure environment. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. To help safeguard your account, we strongly recommend that you create a unique and complex password and do not reuse passwords from other sites, as doing so increases the risk of falling victim to credential stuffing attacks or other malicious cyber activities. If you suspect that the security of your account or personal data has been compromised, please contact us immediately as described in the "Contact Us" section below.

  1. Third-Party Data Protection Requirements

Before disclosing personal information to service providers or contractors, we assess the relationship and require appropriate contractual, confidentiality, security and data-protection commitments. We use data-processing terms or comparable agreements where required and maintain proportionate oversight. If a third party breaches its obligations, we may require remediation, suspend access or exercise contractual and legal remedies.

  1. Personal Information Breach Notification

If a personal-data breach occurs, we activate incident-response procedures designed to contain the event, investigate its cause and reduce potential harm. We notify affected individuals and competent authorities when, in the form and within the time required by applicable law. Notices may describe the nature and likely consequences of the breach, measures taken or proposed, and practical steps individuals may take to protect themselves.

     IX. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your location, you may access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or exercise another applicable privacy right. Section VII explains how to submit a request.

You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by selecting the unsubscribe link in a message or managing your preferences under My Account > Subscription. We may continue to send non-promotional service communications, such as order, security and account notices. We retain a limited suppression record so that we can honor your opt-out.

You may change non-essential cookie choices through Cookie Settings and, where applicable, opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising through the “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link. Applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals are also processed as described in Section V.

You may request account deletion by following the method in Section XIII. We may verify your identity and retain limited information where required or permitted by law, including for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and security purposes.

     X. Third Party Tracking and Online Advertising

LCSC works with analytics and advertising platforms to measure Service use, understand campaign performance and, subject to your choices, support interest-based advertising. Depending on the tools enabled, these platforms may receive cookie identifiers, IP address, device and browser data, pages viewed, interactions and transaction-event data. Current providers and cookie durations are described in the Cookie Notice.

Use LCSC's Cookie Settings and privacy-choice links to manage LCSC's disclosures. You may also use provider-specific controls, which operate under each provider's own terms and privacy notice:

You may also manage choices across participating advertising networks through the Network Advertising Initiative at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/.

    XI. Additional Information for United States Consumers

This section supplements the rest of this Policy for residents of U.S. states with applicable comprehensive privacy laws. The California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the “CCPA”), provides the disclosures and rights described below to eligible California residents. Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning in this section.

Collection of Personal Information:

The categories of personal information we collected, used and disclosed during the preceding 12 months are described in Section I and the table below. Our actual practices depend on which Services and features you use.

The personal information that we collect, or have collected in the preceding 12 months, falls into the following categories of personal information, as enumerated by the CCPA:

    • Identifiers:Your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, account ID, device ID, IP address, and similar identifiers;
    • Commercial Information: Records of products or services purchased, obtained, or considered, or other purchasing or consuming histories or tendencies;
    • Geolocation data: Country, city, approximate location inferred from IP address;
    • Sensitive personal information: account log-in credentials when combined with a password or other information that permits account access;
    • Professional or employment-related information:Company name, job title, business contact information, industry;
    • Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information:Including browsing history, search history, and information regarding your interaction with our website, applications, or advertisements;
    • Inferences Drawn from Other Personal Information: profiles reflecting preferences and Service-usage patterns;

Sale or Sharing of Personal Information:

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, the CCPA definitions of “sell” and “share” are broader than an exchange for money. Disclosing identifiers, internet or network activity, or inferences to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute “sharing” under the CCPA.

Where applicable, you may opt out by selecting “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” and confirming your choice. We also process qualifying opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control. An opt-out does not prevent disclosures to service providers or contractors for permitted business purposes.

During the preceding 12 months, we may have shared identifiers, internet or electronic network activity information, and inferences with advertising and analytics platforms for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, and we do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

If we offer a financial incentive or a price or service difference related to the collection, retention, sale or sharing of personal information, we will provide a separate notice describing the material terms, how the value is calculated, and how to opt in or withdraw.

Other U.S. State Rights

Residents of other U.S. states may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a portable copy of personal information; opt out of targeted advertising, sale or certain profiling; obtain a list of specific third parties where required; and appeal a denied request. We will apply these rights and any recognized universal opt-out mechanism when the relevant law applies to LCSC and the request.

    XII.Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 16 or under the age of digital consent in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We also do not knowingly sell or share, for cross-context behavioral advertising, the personal information of consumers under 16. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without required parental authorization, we will take appropriate steps to delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us as described in Section XV.

    XIII. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain security, resolve disputes and comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations. Retention is determined by the type and sensitivity of information, the processing purpose, legal requirements, operational needs and risk of harm. At the end of the applicable period, we securely delete or de-identify the information unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.

Our retention approach includes the following:

    • Account information: retained while the account is active and for a limited period after closure for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and legal compliance; authentication data is deleted or irreversibly de-identified when no longer required.
    • Order, transaction, invoice and tax records: retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, customs, product-compliance and limitation laws, which may vary by jurisdiction.
    • Logistics and delivery information: retained in line with the related transaction record and carrier, customs, warranty, recall and dispute requirements.
    • Customer-support records: retained for the period needed to resolve the request, maintain service history, improve support and establish or defend legal claims; any recordings follow a separately approved retention period.
    • Marketing preferences: retained until you opt out or the data is no longer needed; a limited suppression record may be retained longer to ensure that your opt-out continues to be honored.

Account Deletion:

You may request deletion of your account by emailing privacy@lcsc.com or using an available in-account deletion function or privacy-request form. After identity verification, we will process the request within the period required by applicable law. Some information may be retained where required or permitted for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, transaction records, recalls, disputes or the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

Extended Retention:

In certain circumstances, such as an ongoing dispute, legal hold, investigation by a competent authority or security incident, we may retain relevant personal information longer than the standard period, limited to what is necessary for that purpose.

    XIV. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our Services, processing activities or legal requirements. We will post the revised Policy on the relevant website and update the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice, such as a prominent website notice, account message or email, where required by law. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
